Circles 2004-2006
Circles marks my attempt to create a perfect circle by hand. The work was informed by process-oriented art-makingof the 1960’s, as well as experimental photography of the early 1900’s. Using a medium format camera and a flashlight, I created the work by recording the movement of a flashlight in circular motions. Through this lengthy process, hundreds of imperfect circles were created.
